Payment Options

When do I pay my account?

For all  Outpatient visits, payment is required at the completion of each visit.  UQ VETS Small Animal Hospital accepts cash, cheques, EFTPOS and credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express accepted).  UQ VETS Small Animal Hospital is unable to offer accounts or any sort of credit terms. UQ VETS offers VetPay finance as a payment option for treatment expenses.

For patients who require admission to the hospital for a procedure or stay the Hospital requires the completion and signing of a ‘Consent for Treatment’ form and the payment of 50% of the estimated fees at the time of admission.  Your attending vet will discuss the estimated costs with you during your consultation and explain what will be included in the estimate.  Deposit payments can easily be processed over the telephone using a credit card. If you are not bringing your pet in person, your representative will need to sign the consent form on your behalf.  The balance of the fees will be required at discharge.

If your pet should require an extend stay with us or a change in treatment which in turn increases the estimate of costs, your attending veterinarian will discuss this with you either in person or over the telephone.  We will then ask you to increase your deposit to maintain a 50% value.  This can easily be processed over the telephone if needed using a credit card.

VetPay – Veterinary Treatment Finance
