Courtney has been veterinary nursing for 9 years and is currently working in her dream role as an anaesthesia technician at UQ VETS. Growing up on a dairy farm gave Courtney a passion for working with animals. Starting off in mixed private practice in Toowoomba before moving to the University of Queensland’s Clinic at Goondiwindi where she held a senior nursing role. After having her son and moving back to the Lockyer Valley, Courtney became one of the first after hours nurses at the UQ Small Animal Hospital when it first opened a 24 hour clinic. After working her way into a daytime nursing role, she rekindled her love of anaesthesia and quickly discovered that she had a passion for teaching students.
