Geoffrey graduated with a doctorate of veterinary science from the National Veterinary School of Alfort (France) and continued his training with a Master Degree in Veterinary science and a residency in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia, both at Montreal University (Canada). He is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia. Geoffrey joined the UQ Gatton Veterinary Medical Centre (VMC) anaesthesia team in March 2016.
During the master degree and the residency, Geoffrey developed a passion for teaching. He chose to work in Québec (Canada) as a consultant in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia, and collaborate with both general practices and referral centres to improve anaesthesia care, teaching both technicians and veterinarians. Geoffrey enjoys all aspects of anaesthesia and analgesia, but has a particular interest in the management of patients with cardiac or neurologic disease, risk management and team working. He developed tools to improve anaesthesia safety and efficacy. Having worked in private practices, academia and research environments, he can adapt his teaching and prepare students for the careers of their choice.
